About The Kindergarten

When you walk through the doors of The Kindergarten you cannot help but be transported back to the land of imagination and imitation; of elves and fairies, princes and princesses, castles and knights and anything and everything the mind can conjure up. You immediately become aware of the warm, homely environment: a sanctuary in which the children can feel both comfortable and safe whilst exploring the world around them.

Toddlers

The first three years of a child’s life are vital for their development, establishing a strong biological foundation and nurturing unconditional trust in caregivers. At The Kindergarten, we provide a homely environment for toddlers. At The Kindergarten, we believe in the importance of fostering creativity and self-expression in young children. Our structured approach includes specific days dedicated to various artistic and hands-on crafts, allowing children to explore different mediums and techniques.

This structured daily rhythm fosters a sense of safety and security, aiding the transition between home and nursery school. We recognize the importance of providing a physically safe, psychologically sound, and socially supportive environment, emphasizing trust, protection, comfort, and encouragement as essential building blocks for children to thrive.

Nursery School

Young children live in their own enchanted world with colourful images and fantasies. Our 3 to 5-year olds are gently lead to understand nature, the seasons, the animals and the rhythm of the year with accompanying themes, enriching their imaginative world even further.

Grade R

During the Grade R year, children at The Kindergarten build a strong foundation for primary school through engaging activities that include movement, art, drama, speech, and crafts, all designed to develop pre-academic skills. Located on Rosemary Hill Farm, the school offers unique advantages, such as nature walks that enhance awareness of seasonal changes and provide opportunities to develop gross motor skills.
